Autumn Hues Poem by Shane Markie

Autumn Hues

Rating: 5.0

The southern-light reflective hues,
That gown vast autumn leaves of May;
Providing Earth's most stunning views--
With scarlet, ochre, mauve array.

The orchestrated wind now sings,
Percussion plays as birds' sing hymns.
Hummingbird's flutter, feathered wings,
Then perch themselves on naked limbs.

Vast fairy floss begins to whirl,
Along blue-cobalt evening sky,
With golden orb of rays which twirl,
While sun descends and moon is rising high.

No season's fashion coat cashmere,
Will last the turn of end season-
For winter's kiss of death is near,
Which spring shall rid for its treason.
