Autumn Again Poem by Phil Soar

Autumn Again

With Autumn now upon us
Leaves falling, winds stronger
Colours bountiful
Shrubs beginning to shut down
Flowers giving there all
Showing us a last fleeting glimpse of summer
Rain lashing down
An occasional passage of clear blue sky
Brightens the day
Brings a smile
Before a grey cloud blocks the suns rays
Nights begin to get longer
Stretching beyond daylight
Lengthening
Firesides glow
Some of us seek solace inside
Whilst those of us that are able stay out
Catching every ounce of every day
Because our time is fleeting
And natures seasons wait for no-one
