Attitudinal Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Attitudinal

Unwise,
Is the excessive selling of told lies.
With a devoted attitudinal duty,
To protect and defend criminal intent.
Disgracing laws and rules.
Once cemented as the foundation,
Of a governing institution.
Declared for centuries the greatest...
Anywhere or any place.
Now facing internal bleeding.
By the very who took an oath,
After being elected to uphold its doctrines.
Not to mock or corrupt.
Today that justice,
Means nothing more than injust to 'us'!
The people.
Observing the collision that has collided,
With collusion that has been decided...
To promote division and conflict.

Attitudinal.
The erosion.
Attitudinal this implosion to permit.
While those sitting in leadership positions,
Make no decisions to prevent this.

Attitudinal with twisted mental beliefs,
An expense to pay...
Will not convict them all,
As accessories to treason.
For remaining obedient to betray,
The constitution and their constituents.
And a greatest to have left it as is to be.

But convinced by those elite,
With wealth to dangle and promises to treat.
If they rushed to flush it all,
Straight into a cesspool.
Without thoughts to have this act stalled.
Unconsciously done,
To one day discover...
Their Aryan wishes to dominate and rule,
Will not return...
What their intentions expect!
To trick, fool and delude.

And yet...
Lessons to learn them taught,
Ought to provide...
A listening to comprehend.
But...
Those anointed with self righteousness,
Seem never to get the message...
Delivered again and again.
To misinterpret.
Again and again.
Before and not after,
An unending of their own destruction begins.
Hoping the devastation,
Leaves them to be seen victorious.
Regardless of the price of lives lost!
