though many of the names sound familiar, i'm afraid i can't enjoy this as much as many others can who know history better than i. i like the few rhymes.....i mean i like the ones which are here, though they are few. there is a flow to the poem. i can't help but think of the bad things which have befallen greece in more recent years. but life goes on....so far. thanks for sharing.

An Attic Poem, I must call it, with the greekness inside...and it's indeed not a fairy-tale but a modern reference to antiquity...and I'm sure you must have enjoyed this composition of yours as nature has provided you with the ready rhyming easy at hand...best of luck for the contest!

A beautiful poem, worthy of 10/10. The mother of all epistemology Where Socrates could write his Apology Very well said. Liked the comments of Elena Sandu very much.

Dearest Rekha! Thank you for this wonderful poem! A reminder, the open door to freedom of wonders.. I do wonder if the conversion to Christianity could have put the basis of today's system which inside myself I question if it was intended to bring disaster. Probably not, or so I hope, who am I to find faults in people? (I free myself to find faults in system, lol.... I should not give fault to anybody nor to Justinian who closed the schools of philosophy, why am I so sad? I wonder, could we have a different world if the schools of philosophy of Athens were to be kept running and spread? ... Could it be to late for humanity to go back and start all over again building new castles on a base such of ancient philosophy? I know I have a lot to learn...Thank you sister, this was one of the treasures you gave to me again!
