Love it. Great poem. Nicely put. Puts a question in my mind, Is there (no) safety in love? Also is there a word missing in the first line of the fifth stanza (paragraph) ?
It's late so I'm probably not seeing what you're seeing on the fifth paragraph...this poem was minimally edited from the words that came out of my mind originally. The story can be interpreted many ways, but it was inspired by a choice I had to make. My heart belonged to one man..unrequited...and was being pursued by another with greater means. Hardly a unique situation, but the struggle was epic in my emotions. Thus what you see here. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
