This is a compelling vignette about the recurring events over time. Just as clocks or bells or watches will keep ticking, chiming, clanging the passage, so people will continue to live their privates lives, illustrated positively in the lovers' intimacy, negatively in the neighbor's spying on them. And except for American composer Elliott Carter who died at age 106 (sic) , none of us will live beyond that century marker! P.S. Your poems should be published in book form to reach a larger audience. There are so many gems here at PH
