Thanks for introducing the farmer element in the commercialism of sport, money and Bollywood. The cricket emlement is interesting to read as well. Its up to us to see that farmers are not relegated to the back page, I think Vidi.
wonderful topic and thesis...making cricket a mockery...making crorepathies multicrorepathis..giving room to Newspaper goons to write about filthy news like ' so and so thrased some body in a friendly manner and he was abt to die again in afriendly manner'...all these nonsense are made available because Indians are ready to bite the bone with bleeding from their tongue and assuming its the blood from the bone.....go ahead slaughter those nonsense programmes
It is so amazing the way you have described the IPL cricket league and I must say that a poem related to cricket is rare to see. So it is really very interesting and nicely written.
Too much money in cricket...alright! but if a portion of the money that is raised by way of public patronage for this entertainer is set apart for repaying debts of farmers...those who are at the helm of affairs of this money spinning circus should think that way...molten snow and mist must find a downward slit... This poem has nothing against cricket...only upholds the farmer's cause...a good one
Socially & culturally charged piece....The structure is pristine....smoothe as a coin tossed' cross a freshly glaced iecpond...You have good command, in steering your work to where you want it to go...in driving home your sharp-pointed message.Solid crafting indeed, Vidi... ~ FjR ~ .Visitor.
I feel that we two very much think alike, although i like cricket and can enjoy if demanded but wasting time, money and all that drama for whom? ? ? ? those chucked out players from the teams..? ? ? playing just for money....etc, why film stars are here? ? / why not the regional teams of the youngsters zonal wise so that new talent be given a chance...Too many questions unanswered... well composed... such poems should be written..and encouraged...
Kudos to you for highlighting that. A portion of this money if invested wisely in social causes could result in wonders in infrastructure, education or health. 10+++
