Asking That Pretty Girl Out Poem by D.N. Rebb

Asking That Pretty Girl Out

Rating: 5.0

First it hides,
Then it fades
Then the opposite dominates

Dread is near,
Right next door
Things remain as they were before

What we lack,
Guides the way
Engage before stories betray

Stage fright, grim
Jitters, last
Little confidence somewhere stashed

Hopeless case
Giddy youth
Bundles of nerves speak perfect truth

Ease, warm smile
Affirming
Halleluiah, the angels sing
