You are spot-on writing how many of us have experienced such questioning in life... though sometimes only a brave poet might be the one to admit it as artfully as you have with this poem. Cheers!
I love the subtle offbeat rhyme gently challenging thoughts ~Ask Him~ questioning faith, perhaps paternal faith... while attempting to believe, and believing in the faith we have. This line: A devotion to fake faith and it done to keep trusted made me think of how so many, at times even myself, claim faith in order to have credibility, as if such credibility gives us our worth in society. Not many believe we fake faith, and yet it has happened far more times than many of us would admit, even as tangible, real miracles of faith have... and do happen. Lovely, thought-provoking poem. Thank you for sharing.
