When the mystic distances himself from this material world and all its transitory possessions, his/her spirit vibrates on a higher spiritual frequency which brings extreme happiness in seeing things as disguises and containers of the divine.

You are very right. Pure soul of mystic dwells in light of mercy and God's grace. The perfection of detachment he does. Divine feelings motivate mind. Seeing God in all creatures and sharing affection is a greater perspective of a mystic. This poem is deeply philosophical...10

hey, tony! as an ordinary mystic i affirm the truth of your closing lines. knowing myself, however, the only purity i can claim is that of my focus on, my adherence to God. which, by the way is the biblical sense of purity—not the absence of sin or anything that defiles—but unadulterated focus or devotion. as humans we can't enter the web of this world and come away with at least some of the web strings attached. hoping you're well, glen
