As Their Guest Poem by Thomas Plotz

As Their Guest

I went on a long walk last night, with blazing evening stars
Trying to refreshes my song, of thoughts, with Ares in the sky
When I was half way-back, from my comeback, since
Where I came, forth

There was a car, a jaguar
That drove slowly past,
Filled with family,
Through hard to see, with the tinted glass

I'M sure if I called out a name, of
Any one inside, they would have stopped, to claim me
Slid over, and made some room, perfumed me to fit in, then
Taking me to the party, as their guest

Shorting the journey alone
