We have to sacrifice life to save lives have to be cruel to return the peaceful kind Yeah; this is the world where every wickedness is shooting out like the weeds always sometime this wickedness is becoming powerful but if we want to uproot theses wicked weeds we need to be cruel soldiers to devastate these

We are all children. If we believe in searching for what is rare and fine in life, we can't help but hate the inertia, the indulgence that treats one's own life as something expendable. The ocean is just a mirror in which he sees his own disgust.

I did not grasp in totality what is contained from To give to scenes. But I understand what comes after. The voice of the poems does not go with the trend; what is expected; what is the norm or fashionable..

War, peace, love and hate life and death all complex issues with no black and white solution. Beauty of this poem lies in stark realization of some dark colors overlapping bright colors of life.
A brief poem by Bukowski makes all think about life in comparison with that a sparrow as far as what one has to do to a child in a philosophic way!
