Very good that you have been thinking about it, Bri Mar. Spirituality tends to fill a void. If we believe only in our senses we may be cheated many times. We see rainbows that are not really there, we see horizons, wet roads on hot days and so many more things that are just visual illusions. Even the stars we see in the skies are no longer on the place we see them since the light may have traveled for so many lightyears. We do have feelings as well and even though they can cheat us as well, we have to take them for real. Ignoring our feelings can be dangerous. Many people have experienced the presence of a supernatural Being. Our atheists believe that this experience is a false one, that spiritual people are just cheating themselves. But the expereince can be or at least feel very real. I think it is really hard to grasp the larger Truth but keep seeking, keep thinking is the message. Narrow minded power-addicted religious leaders have misled large numbers of people by scaring them and by promising them things they cannot promise. Sure enough, that is true. But all of us do have a soul. It is somewhere deep inside of us and if we try to connect to our soul, we can experience a spiritual dimension that feels very real. Once you experience it, a life without it seems lacking a great deal. All I try to say, is please keep an open mind and try to reach deep inside. Many answers to life's great question are to be found there.
