Article 370 Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Article 370

Article of faith or an inflated balloon—
In raging summer as if sweltering of June!

Whoso came bloated the balloon further,
In whatso a season the same weather!

And no one wanted to look any mean,
Nor yet would like to incur presumed sin.

Whist appearing as if hard to strive,
They all kept the balloon breathless alive.

But then, easy can a thief catch a thief,
A bitter drug but a good cure as if.

Quiet and blowing not a faintest horn,
A thorn was found out to take out a thorn.

All it required, ah just a safety pin,
There was no point creating pointless din.

And so a new article was added,
O to make old one null and void and dead.

The article 370 of J & K had for long become anachronism, but it was a holy cow and untouchable.
Politicians exploited it to the hilt, though it came in the way of development in the State and betterment of people. Recently it was annulled when the State was bifurcated and made a union territory. I already visualize prosperity in the land with this new destiny.
