Art Work Of My Heart Poem by Tess Rockenstire

Art Work Of My Heart

Love, is for a life time I was told.
My dear, it is forever as we hold hands.
Reaffirm, he kissed me and fear dissolved,
Clouds disappear, blue sky smiles,
Like an incandescent light, face aglow.

“Love can move mountains, ” I was told.
You can climb heights, strength it involves.
No matter how high, sure you’ll reach atop,
It is an elixir of life, a drink you fill.
Sure, let it fulfill your heart.

My love, come to me when nights are lonely.
When my day is heavy, lift me up.
When sun don’t shine, be my light,
When darkness is my enemy, be my path.
Oh, thou that my heart loves, kiss me.

My shining armor, my pedestal
A storm shall not shatter my soul,
For every smile you gave, loneliness fades.
You are the masterpiece of my heart,
My art work, my design, I hold your heart with in.
