You sat at the tree top
To spat on the man at the tree base
How forgetful you can be
Not to remember that the base was the stating point
Of your flight to the top
How inconsiderate you are
To forget that the man deserves honour
At this low point of his effort
And know not that providence may smile at him
To grant him flight to the top
Maybe higher than where you are
How thoughtless you are
To forget that the tree top is not your home
That you will surely come down
To the base at the end
And still meet peers there
Where shame and pride of injustice
May not allow you peace
