The squirrel squeaked and barked
A kite flew in low circles
The tree stood still an' smiled.
An articulated verse of brevity that speaks volume, inspires me!

For a warming... This is absolutely beautiful! .. I just love this! .. Absolutely wonderful! ..
The warning of the squirrel is for other rodents that are prey of the eagle. For the tree on which the squirrel is perched, kite is just another flying object (AFO) and poses no threat.
These lines create a vivid, almost whimsical scene, full of sensory and emotional contrasts.
