This is a great poem of inspiration and calling. It tells the listener to respond to the light of day with ernest effort to complete tasks which must be undertaken to maintain and improve his lot. Work is misery yet idleness does not reward the idle soul. In the great existential breath of living, work is the only therapy of the soul.
