So few peace makers left in the world, yet at no time in history have we needed them more. Excellent write George. As usual, you have your finger on the pulse of the world.

My old friend, you are up to your tricks again, writng good poems behind my back, trying to catch me sleeping, trying to slip down the wave in front of me.

Interesting timing on this one, George. It seems Mr. Sharon has suffered a mild stroke. Timing is everything. By the by. The poem is beautifully crafted, though, I, too, sense the need for a question mark ending the sentence beginning with armor. That is nit-picky. This is a solid piece of writing. It captures well the despair and desperation of Palestine and the Holy Land. Strong images. Hugh
