Are You Looking Poem by Gary James Smith

Are You Looking

Rating: 5.0

ARE YOU LOOKING

Are you looking for a fix?
To cure what ails you
A tote, a pill, a bit of booze.
Do you think these will see you through?
They're just temporary
And all come at a cost
When you can have Salvation 'Free'
Courtesy of Calvary's Cross!

Turn to God in quiet prayer
Go outside for a walk
A little talk with Jesus
Will help you out a lot
Don't let Satan tell you
Have another cigarette
And puff away wasted hours
And haven't touched prayer as of yet

Come on now give it a try
There's only God and you
To be a witness to the fact
Just what you choose to do
Isn't it time you met Him
He's the reason you exist
Determine now to make a change
What better time than this?

I don't mean to bug you
I'm not the bugging kind
I'm just trying to encourage you
Please...please try God this time
He knows your every feeling
Just when you're feeling down
Make a promise to yourself today
And the blessings will come down!
