Are We Gaining Or Losing

The world is always making things,
So the people do not have to think,
Others put information in their mind,
Constantly eliminating movement,
Of their bodies, is human life,
Getting short on time.
The things past generations, use to do,
Daily, always moving thinking with their mind.
Getting out of bed, in a cold house, gathering wood,
You cut up the night before, with a hand saw,
That would often bind. After you carry in the wood,
And get the fire started to burn, You make a few trips,
To the well to carry in water, you need cook, and bath,
Everyone, had a certain day of the week, for their turn,
Also water & feed your animals, in the barn, then grab,
Some eggs, as you lift up some chickens, then in to the house,
To prepare your breakfast, if your lucky, the house is a little warm.
After you eat, nature starts calling, you have to go out to the odd house,
You grab a page or two of the old Sears catalog, to wipe, then sit,
No heat, not even warm, with a wood seat made from the lumber,
From the old barn. Life is different today, are the humans winning,
Or losing, creating a lazier society, every day.
