The best are the last two lines to conclude the poem: 'The life of the spring-time, the life of the whole, And, as sun to the sleeping earth, love to the soul! '
The poem gives a vivid account of the love for nature the poet holds in his heart, and the keen eyes he has to see the beauty of it. 'Unkissed of the sunshine, unbaptized of showers, With buds scarcely swelled, which should burst into flowers We wait for thy coming, sweet wind of the south! For the touch of thy light wings, the kiss of thy mouth' - so beautifully said!
And in blooming of flower and budding of tree The symbols and types of our destiny see; The life of the spring-time, the life of the whole, And, as sun to the sleeping earth, love to the soul! a very good poem. tony
Noon of spring time motivates mind. Revival of seasonal sensation we feel. Soul of sprig time truly gets light and breath. This poem is very interesting. A Nice poem is chosen as the poem of day.
'Unbaptized of showers'! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Let our faith which in darkness and coldness has lain, Revive with the warmth and brightness again(in the spring) Beautiful and meaningful poem on april and spring.
A person has to really study nature to know all these things about flowers and vines and trees in the spring- -___] wind-flower and violet, amber and white, On south-sloping brooksides should smile in the light, O'er the cold winter-beds of their late-waking roots - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ] you have to get up close and personal to nature to know these tidbits.... and then his poem is written so smoothly, so happily, about the spirituality of the season
a lovely poem with beautiful images of spring, but i don't like the robot voice reading it.
Beautiful thoughts. The juncture of winter passing and spring's arrival invoked with such beauty of rhythm and rhymes. It truly arises deep emotions of love and reverend towards Nature.
Sounds just like springtime at my house this year, with the same snow and ice and everything. Looking forward to May and wishing I were back in Recife!
.....a wonderful tribute to April, mother nature and faith ★
The end-rhyme scheme could have been disposed with and the poem would still have come out beautifully. Some of the sounded forced, actually. But i still like the poem and wish that i was the gifted author
