I was thinking that this poem had nothing really to do with apples and oranges but had to do with love...it's effects where everything is good and makes sense but the last line threw me, then again, im a slow and out of touch poet but never the less...I love this poem.

I happen to love oranges and apples. If I could plant a tree of each it would be delightful. The health benefits are great as always. Such good expressions and lilting verses. Enjoyed.

Dear Sunpriness, I read and appreciated this poem very much. I know you don't understand Urdu (National Language of Pakistan, widely spoken in India as well) but I have translated it in Urdu for my grand children. I hope you shall enjoy reading the translation. For understanding it just read your poem again.

This is a wonderful poem - it's so full of joie de vivre - and I especially like the long lines that are fleet and mercurial. it's important that this kind of poem of appreciation doesn't drag and your lines fairly fly off the page. And you buried a few themes among the fruits, for example, the reference to sitting with your TRUE LOVE and sharing the sweetness of the fruit in the sweetness of their presence. This poem really connected with your readers as the comments prove and one of them promises a gift of oranges from India. What a special reward for making the effort of writing poetry!
