Apocrypha: Psalm 76 * Poem by Gert Strydom

Apocrypha: Psalm 76 *

Outside the rain pours down days without end,
I hear the birds while lightning-bolts flash sing about You,
that nothing can stop Your omnipotence and love,
that You do bring salvation in impossibility.
When confused in disarray I look at my own life,
do notice great pain and also joy in it,
I notice all of my iniquity that You do see,
where You do protect me against the evil assaults.
I pray for salvation and recovery to come to others,
that You do support each one that is harassed.
You are real; Your actions are not disguised,
I pray that You keep pouring out Your benevolence.
Help me to love You and who You do determine much more,
help me to always stay on the right way.
