plan a monument
for lakhs, oxygen deprived,
gasping, who were sent,
to graves, as we were not wired
with SOPs, when need cried.
when all systems fail,
it is time, heads bow in shame;
as relatives wail
for their dear ones, no use blame
games; can apathy be tamed?

In India, ferocious Covid surge, is daily taking away dead, few thousand people; thousands more are falling sick and struggle to find hospital beds. Many died gasping for breath as they were not given oxygen from cylinders. There is a sudden shortage of medical oxygen and oxygen cylinders. Who is to be blamed? Those who died for moving around without masks; relatives for not attending to the sick at home, the hospitals for not admitting the patient in time, the Government for not supplying oxygen.... it is a long list.But the simple answer is: all round apathy!
