Around 10 minutes after the incident appeared to be over, Israeli army medic Azaria arrived on the scene to shoot a wounded Palestine in the head as he lay nearly motionless on the ground.
ὁ κλαυθμὸς καὶ ὁ βρυγμὸς τῶν ὀδόντων - The Greek phrase 'there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth appears in the scriptures as description of the torments of the damned in Hell.
Teeth gnashing, Jerusalem Post reported today of the trial outcome of the unnecessarily killing of the wounded and subdued Palestinian, army medic Sgt. Elor Azaria, was convicted of manslaughter at the Kiriya military court in Tel Aviv.
The trial of IDF, who was caught on film shooting the Palestian so that his father could witness and enjoy the heartbreaking scene too, has divided the nation, as was evidenced by the violent clashes between police and Azaria's supporters outside the courtroom.
A panel of three judges determined after the contentious eight-month trial that the medic's shooting of Sharif was not justified, they rejected the claims that he had acted in self-defense, fearing that Sharif may have been wearing an explosives vest.
Contradicting the politicians, the military judges pointed to testimony of several people, without an incentive to lie, on the scene that the medic had originally said that the Palestine needed to be killed out of revenge for stabbing a soldier.
Only later did Azaria's defense come up with the story that he feared Sharif may still be dangerous, the judges said in reference to the defensive fabrication.
They focused on testimony of a fellow soldier and notably friend of the medic, who testified that the defendant had told him he carried out the shooting for revenge. The defense's cross examination of the soldier had failed to knock down this testimony, the judges contended.
Azaria acted coldly and was calculated, taking time clearing people away before he shot. He did not act as if he was facing immediate danger.
The entire incident was caught on an extended video, which showed so much detail leading up to the incident that the IDF could not claim that the medic was exercising any traditional notion of self-defense as is usually claimed in such controversial incidents.
The Godless laws of injustice reign over the US-fueled, Gestapo inspired, Israeli 50+ years of occupancy, however, everyone can make mistakes, and as an effect, an inch of justice today, inadvertently, poured through the cracks of a system, that's almost broken beyond repair.
