Any Other Way Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Any Other Way

You drive me crazy
You drive me every way
except right.
You speed through red lights,
You snatch on my steering
wheel.
And stop at the oddest times.
Most times I prefer you stay
in for the night
Or at least as far away from the
Wheel as possible.
Whenever I fill up the tank
You drive it all back out.
Sometimes I don't know
what I am going to do with
you.
For the most part,
I go along for some of the most
beautiful rides
I've ever been on.
If you'd get out right now I'd
miss you sorely.
I kinda like how crazy you
drive.
There's no fun in driving
slow, you can't take my breath that way.
But you can with the way you
grab the top of the steering
wheel with your left hand &
press your foot into the gas.
My arm out the car window.
Streaks of orange cigarette tips
Circling the ashtray in the sky.
Whenever I fill up the tank
You drive it all back out.
Sometimes you drive me
Absolutely crazy
& I wouldn't have it any
other way
