Anxious For Nothing Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Anxious For Nothing

Anxious for nothing, my heart doth race
As fear and worry consumed my mind
Like wildfire,
My thoughts a tangled web, I can't erase
My troubles seem insurmountable, unkind
But in this chaos, I hear a still voice
Whispering softly, 'Be anxious for naught'
A gentle reminder, I have a choice
To trust in something bigger than my thought
For in this world, troubles will surely come
But peace can still abide amidst the storm
With faith as my anchor, I won't succumb
To anxious thoughts that try to take me warm
So I release my worries to the wind
And let my faith and hope be my friend.
