Antiquarians Poem by Shane Markie

Antiquarians

The usefulness of man
Is short at best.
Images of culture heroes
Which could be seen

In many villages once
Carved in permanent stone
Or cast in bronze
And stainless steel get

Buried, broken up, or
Get melted down again
And their remains are
Of interest mostly to

Antiquarians
