2) And change the course of American literature. Or Joseph Conrad translating his masterpiece IN THE HEART OF DARKNESS from his native Polish to English. I wonder how many poets on PH do the same.

A well written, thought-provoking poem. Made me think of how impossibly difficult it was for Kerouac to translate his works from his native French to English.
