The clock strikes twilight in the chapel.
She lies on the floor with outstretched hands
weeping in silence, in pain
the pain of leaving this place

'At the choir loft children sing with tight voices'.. and that is what I felt, dear Meggie...my throat tightened with emotion...this is truly an inspired piece....surely one of the most difficult for you to share....not an easy choice...but one i'm sure God has decided for you after much soul-searching on your part....thank you so much for sharing this wonderful intimate confession....and you continue to serve Him the best way you can as I know you are......
A beautiful story Meggie, so moving and so well portrayed. Excellent writing, and such a sheer pleasure to read. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
Some of life's decisions are difficult to take, but one has to take them. A profound and moving piece.
This a is a wonderfully emotional and moving piece, Meggie. There are many ways to serve the Lord and often hard decisions to make.Very often such decisions are filled with much sadness for that which is being left behind, but at the same time much joy for that which is ahead. I thoroughly enjoyed this write my friend. Indeed a 10++. My best wishes to you. Richard
I am convinced that poetry is indeed the 'window to the soul.' In this extraordinary creation, I sense a depth of feeling, suggesting a poignant personal connection. Please know that I find your effort a passionate portrayal of the vulnerability of the human condition. Love seems to have a mind all its own, whatever the circumstance. Excellent composition!
Written from a caring heart. We have kindred spirits I read your biography Praise the LORD.
Good poem Meggie...really moving...we too experience such painful intermittent farewells often in our lives...thanks...10
You know what..I also once thought of being a nun before...but then maybe its not meant for me...but you..you're already with God as you willserve him faithfully..but maybe you're fate sister..your purpose in serving God is not there alone in the convent. But still in the next chapter of your life you will see happiness.. not only by serving God but the one God chosen for you to be with..and the people sorrounds you.. I know you're happy now...and thanks for sharing...i like this!
To chose between two things one loves may be the most difficult choice a person can make. You capture that moment beautifully.
Filled with emotion a truly inspirational read. Thank you for suggestioning the read. Keep writing Meggie! Hugs CC
Truly an inspiration from God himself. We all have new chapters in our lives that we must face at one point or another. I pray we have the strength to move into our new chapters knowing that God is always there to take us through. God Bless and thanks for sharing! ! ! ! Love you!
A powerful poem to make the heart feel her pain emotion spells the scene of another life to start...very well written Meggie another beauty nuns are only human Luvli poem regards ++++++++++++10
A beautiful write Meggie, as one door closes another one opens, thanks for sharing this with us, 10 Lynda xx
This is one of your best, Meggie. You tell the story of your bride of Christ caught up in the mixed emotions of closing the door on one life in order to open the door on a new one with an experienced hand. Methinks there is more than a hint of the personal in this well structured, bitter-sweet poem. I particularly liked: 'Lovely flowers bursting blooms gifts wrapped in ribbons of love'. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
There is alot of emotion poured into this poem making it feel to me reading this poem that I was there in someones personal experience. It really drew me in. I hope they are enjoying their new chapter. A very nice poem.10/10.
'Passing by the corridor she sees lovely flowers bursting blooms gifts wrapped in ribbons of love books touched by their smiles..' A poem full of threadbare emotion and symbolism of life. A beautiful expression. Thanks for sharing, Meggie. A.
Meggie, a lot of feeling in this beautiful write, is this a old dream of what might have been my friend, if your life chapter had turned a different page..? Andy 10
Meggie, clear and loud! Maybe you were meant for the convent for just 5 years. what is important is, you continue to be HIS child and servant even if you chose to be with the love of your life. VERY NICE POEM
