I did not second guess;
My Pastor challenged us
To thank someone today.
Who made a difference in our lives,
Along the way.
First I thank mom
For her strength
She had a tough time
delivering me.
We almost did not make it,
Or no chance to see the world.
While she was in the delivery room,
My mom almost died,
My dad made a choice,
“Let my wife live
Let the baby die in her womb.”
But an angel of God Spoke
“Transfer the mother to another hospital”
She has 50/50 to live,
So as the baby in her womb.
Dear angel of mercy
Wherever you are today
I thank you.
I shouldn’t have seen the sun
If not because of you.
Now I have my own daughter,
I cried in the delivery room,
Remembering that frightful day
My mom had me.
There’s a life in me,
She’s a new beginning.
And God’s angel is all around us too.
