Anesthetized Pain Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Anesthetized Pain

under a neon blur
in a karaoke bar
loneliness
desperately seeks
company

not even tequila
with bitter lemon rinds
wipes clean
the solitary footprint
left behind
in the sands of time
of an unrequited love

a chilling silence...
buried memories...
anesthetized pain...
are all that remain
between
empty shot glasses

Beautiful poem on a lonely heart that has lost its love. Seems so real. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.10+++
