My dear, hope dies hard, especially with love of friend and family... more so in the unexpected kindness of strangers. I hope that you know how well YOU are loved! This poem means alot to me. A Forever Favorite. Thank you... Your decades-to-be old friend, Esther : ]

Well done, Will! I like how you cleverly used the same word(s) for two distinctly different meanings... very creative and nicely played. Excellent write! !

Finely crafted indeed. I enjoy the way the thought drives across the rhyme in the final two lines of the first stanza and the shift of meaning from 'farewell to fare well.' The central thesis that when our continued existence escapes our control, others are there to step in and carry us to safety is comforting to read.

Very lyrical and poignant. IMO, a poem without music is a poem without a soul. Beautiful write, Will. I hope you will not say 'Farewell' for a long time to come. Your poetess friend, Sandra

Ooh, I almost fell off - er - the floor (none of that chair nonsense, you know) to see you posting Will. And brilliantly done. Perfect depiction of wind blowing ones dreams away.... in news. Only you would conjure up that one. So. We've had the taster and there is no farewell; more, please! t x
