"And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." John 8: 32 "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3: 5 ***
Oh! If only you would be willing to know the truth of God's word, you would know the truth and it would set your: body, mind, soul and spirit free. And if you trusted in the Lord with all of your heart, you would no longer lean unto thine own understanding.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3: 16 You need to take out the word, world and put your own name in its place.
Say your name was also Roxanne? For God so loved Roxanne, he gave his only begotten Son, that Roxanne believes in him she would have everlasting life. Substituting your own name would work just as well.
What would knowing the truth about God's holy word do for you anyway and why should you even care about it in the first place? How would inheriting God's free gift of everlasting life sound to you as opposing everlasting death?
Would you like to spend the rest of your eternity in paradise or go straight to hell and later on The Lake of Fire and Brimstone. What God refers to as the second death, and the second resurrection from the dead of the dammed eternally! Paradise or torment the choice is up to you.
God created hell for Satan and his angels not people and hell is constantly expanding its boarders by admitting new people by the multitude every second of every morning, noon, and night. Twenty four hours a day and seven days a week.
God does not send people there, they send themselves there, by rejecting his free gift of everlasting life. Either Jesus Christ pays the penalty for their sins, or they do themselves. And they can never really succeed in paying their own sin debt to God.
"Behold now is the appointed day unto salvation." Why wait for a tomorrow that may never come? "It is appointed unto man once to die, and after that, the judgement." "For believers such as myself, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
Love in Christ Jesus!
