A pen portrait of a wonderful old soul who manages to shine in use in spite of his afflication. Great empathy and sensitivity displayed here, Sandra. Beautiful. Warm wishes, SandraX
he was blind but he never missed a thing.....as for the others.....
GOSH.... The end..! What an ending...! ! Taste The Thunder! ! ! Dear Poet, you gave us a mild tremour We readers at....'Wow.... this is...', whisper At the same time, universal truth, so Super Blind to outer bursts and ghosts Spend time listening to inner clues. We sighted, could, for some time, pose Feel Blind and enrich our lifestyles Like the hero of this poem! Wonderful read dear poet.
The poem shows your understanding of another's feelings, very empathetic indeed. The end is very pinching and heart wrenching, but as you said, life goes on... Regards Naseer
So much empathy in here and raw vision of another's life; but then again, rampant compassion and a far seeing vision are two of your more finely tuned attributes.
and life goes on, a very graphic, vivid narrative with a surprise ending. Mamta
Sandra, a very touching piece, the concluding line lifted up an emotion born by the whole narration. Thanks for sharing very much. Yelena M.
Your final line gives the perfect (and unexpected) finishing touch to this most appealing narrative piece about one who accepts what he cannot change and finds blessings in what he has. The overly sweet tea episode tells us so much more about him than would a fistful of words describing his generosity. Excellent write. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
nice narrative, sandra, and the concluding part makes it quite touchy n impactful....
Touching poem. You have selected a very suitable tone and expression for this subject, goes mellowed till the twist in the end.......very good Sandra.
It surely is a 'life must go on' for this very special character of this interesting piece, Sandra. He is so blessed..He will never see life's turmoil and everything under a normal circumstance.. I find these piece very special for me because, in spite of, life for this grand old man will still go on. A nice message that everybody should be encouraged, that no matter what, 'life must go on.'..wise words...full of wisdom. thank you so much for this encouraging piece. It made me smile now, and I say..My life must go on.. Love you so much, Meggie
Thanks Kesav, I have incorporated the suggested changes....they do make a difference.
The poem provides an eventful surprising turn at the end...nice narration...10 A few modifications in diction would look better i believe...sush as 1. with the usual birds- with birds as usual 2. and the lazy dog- and the dog lazily Kesav
