A very soothingly, composed poem, enjoyable. Not everyone gets the import of the word 'was', a syndrome I get with my 'O Dearest Love'.
A very passionate and emotionally charged write of love. Doug must be very special a real he man. Fought the war but couldn't fight love. Nicely written!
This is my kind of poetry. Direct, beautifully expressed and without a hint of pretension. Your Doug leaps off the page. His ordinariness is enchanting. As is your love for him. Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

A Special Guy CJ.A great write about someone very close to your heart. Sid John
A poem of someone so natural and unaffected, as your writing is, too, CJ. I especially liked the phrases 'so easy in his skin' and 'I knew even my name was safe in his mouth.' An enjoyable read and I will look for more of your poems. Love, Fran xx
Doug is the kind of character I'll never forget, because he's so real. you wrote him right into my living room; doesn't look like he wants to leave either. Beautiful work, I love it~
