And Away He Went Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

And Away He Went

Emotions
Devotions
Laced with all varied connotations
Bouncing against the will in the flooded rivers of liberation

Waffles
Baffles
So fooled by simple victories in uneventful battles
Like sorrowful songs that loosen the moral mantles

Morrow
Borrow
Tales so devoid of truth n' hollow
Like goodbyes that leave the remained but sallow

Well, here departs the young man
Into the uncharted worlds of grown men
Living his loved ones all but sad n' sullen
For beyond the great seas, lies a promise of bright futures.
