Anchor Poem by Varala Anand

Rating: 5.0

For me,
Poetry is not just poetry
Half sound, half silence
Sound, a hiccup,
Comes out of the cry of life
Silence, an expression,
Comes out of the incapability of life

For me,
Poetry is not just poetry
Half language, half life
Language is a struggle of expression
Life is a struggle for existence

For me,
Poetry is not just poetry
Half life, half death
Life is a dream
In the palanquin of hopes
Death is a disappointment
In the edge of failures

For me,
Poetry is not just poetry
In the time of crisis
A sail that takes me to shores
In the battle of survival
An anchor that positions me upright
