You were trying to be strong when you first arrived. Emotion welled up and you shed the tears you were trying to hold back. But those tears were the breakthrough to consolation for your friend. After that you were bonded, reconciled. Your language isso precise, every nuance of feeling is clear and forceful. A poem of truth and beauty for an inevitable experience. .

An exact events of a patient in the last moment that described in the poem and while reading it I felt sorrow in my inner heart which I have had such experiences of events. The myriad of emotions at that brief moments expressed vividly. To suffer the pain of seeing someone close ebbing away can be heart wrenching.
