An Outcome Of Debating With A Fool Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

An Outcome Of Debating With A Fool

In a kingdom where animals converse,
The donkey and tiger engage in a verse.
Debating the hue of the grass they tread,
One claims it's blue, the other, green instead.
Seeking resolution, they approach the lion,
The king of the jungle, his wisdom undenied.
Before the clearing, the donkey proclaims,
'The grass is blue! ' His plea now gains.

The lion speaks, 'Indeed, the grass is blue.'
The donkey, triumphant, seeks what is due.
He pleads for the tiger's punishment severe,
For contradicting his claim, causing him to jeer.
The lion pronounces, 'Five years of silence for you.'
The donkey leaps with joy, his victory in view.
But the tiger questions the lion's decree,
'Why am I punished if the grass is green, you see? '

The lion answers, 'The grass's colour is true,
But your punishment is not about that view.
It's for wasting time arguing with a fool,
Engaging in disputes that are not so cool.'
In this tale of animals, wisdom is displayed,
The donkey's folly and the tiger's dismayed.
Lessons taught by the lion, a noble king,
To avoid pointless arguments, a valuable thing.
