An Orchid And A Rose Poem by Richard Lackman

An Orchid And A Rose

Rating: 5.0

We spent our adult lives with an orchid and a rose
Watching each one flower as it ages and it grows
Both were just so special yet so different it seemed
While we watched in wonder as our efforts were redeemed

Each evolved successfully it its own splendid way
Changing much to slowly to be noticed day to day
Yet month to month and year to year we saw the blossoms spread
As onward to adulthood each in their direction sped

So now as we have followed our long journey to its end
We can admire all the goodness that it did portend
Michael was the orchid and yes Brian was the rose
And we are still proud parents with a love that grows and grows
