Love this poem, a tragic love story within nature and this line 'death is cruel and ignores the plea' is so true.

What a great place to be inspired- abroad! It has happened to me too except i'm not very good at taking something literal and turning it into something great. You did an awesome job though. I like how this poem comes full circle from life to death and the similes are good. Lonely, pleading like a beggar...he sends his roots cascading down the hills like a waterfall of knowledge collected through the years.
