It is really beautiful in the sense it expresses the real feelings of an individual about something which happened in the past & hence is called old, but never that old in the reality perceived by the mind!

She liked the old story when it was new, so she might like it now, as new again. Probably not, though. It never seems to work that way. Either way, is good story.

Dear poet, Very good poem. it is narrated by an old tree. As poetry's uniqueness it is apt for our country or a old lady by hidden meaning. the old tree may be a symbol. well penned and my wishes
