The helplessness at the old age if there are no relatives or friends nearby to take care of has been expressed so touchingly.

We would all do well, and be the better for it, if we remembered and spent much more time with those of whom you here speak so well of and for, thanks for reminding us. Blessings on the elderly and needy.

It reads even better the second time. Lonliness ii such a heavy load! It is bad enough to be lonely but to be weak an impoverished. You have painted a profound picture with such rich and rabid images!

Swimming in the sea of sadness is this wonderful work of activism. May your voice be heard and may the world be a better place because of this great poem!

A clear and vivid picture has been painted here on old man and old age that touches the heart. Old men become help less in future in spite of their kindreds in present societies. Thanks for sharing this gem.10

I wish this was not so, but unfortunately many suffer this loneliness and lack of funds. Well written.

A great piece of work! I am not that old (just 50) but imagine the situation! Your poem is not only a poem of substance but also a candid depiction of the situation in old age! Appreciated your expression out of your personal experiences and knowledge! Thanks dear poet! ..10

Greatly write on an oldman, your poems reminds me The Old Man And The Sea, by Ernest Hemingway and its inner meaning, ..... Dear poet, I thnk it is one of the unususl manners / treatments of mankind to the old persons, .... also it has some alternatives, ..... it varies person to person for example, I myself did not neglect my father (died) a little, .... It is a great poem reminds the oldmen / women and their lonely lives, .......... Thanks for sharing the poem with us, ++++ 10
