An Ode To London Poem by H Seeking

An Ode To London

Rating: 5.0

London what an amazing place to be!
A few centuries ago you could have seen
The likes of Richter or Lenin
Marx, Jinnah and even Gandhi

Stoker, Kipling, Orwell
Altogether make you feel swell
Twain, Byron, Shelley
You won't find them on the telly

Life here is heaven
Dickens at seven
Austen at ten
Priceless gems never forgotten

Dahl for babes
Blyton for teens
Beatrix n her tricks
Put me in a fix

Can I ever finish these epics?

Why Shakespeare my dear
You are ever in my heart near
But it is Elton n Ed
That rhyme me to bed

For the universe, what is a moment?
But a brief history of time
Let the universe be
What about poor ol' me?
