Rating: 5.0

Flowers, you charming damsels of the Earth
Popping up everywhere in rapturous mirth
Burning in flame, you dazzle the hills and the vales
Sometimes you bloom to die unnoticed in lonely isles

Flowers are the messengers of nature, its resplendent colours, beauty and delicate charm. The poem has made a realistic portrayal of the role played by flowers in our lives: You are beauty and grace incarnate .......Attired in robes of radiant dye and hue

Though fleeting is your life on the Earth You accompany man from birth to death. Flowers have their own story to tell and this story you have en-capsuled in this brilliant poem.

You fairy maidens, how you gladden our hearts You can delight us more than all the arts Like the stars in the firmament, on Earth you shine Who else other than God, your beauteous form design? Yes God is the best artist, it's He who created beauty and we are just exploiting it.

Any flower, any color has a beauty of its own. the same flower but from a different county smells different too. I love gardens, unfortunately cannot have any of my own. but can spend hours on the grass, gazing at the flowers. If words cannot cross barriers, flowers can. sometimes even the plant that holds the flowers has a beauty of its own.

Valsa-ji, you write poetry with the penchant of a school-going kid quite unlike a retired English professor, which you are. This makes your poetry really fascinating. Thanks for sharing. (10)

A beautiful Ode, Valsa. Reminds me of my these favourite lines... Don't talk to strangers coz they only there to do you harm Don't write in starlight or the words may come out real Don't hide in doorways, you may find they key that opens up your soul Don't go to heaven coz it is really only hell Don't smell the Flowers, they are an evil drug and will make you lose your mind Don't dream of women coz they only bring you down (Don't Talk To Strangers by Ronnie James Dio) (song)

Captivating. Jiyo to aisa jio jaise sab tumhara hai, maro to aise maro jaise tumhara kuch bhi nahi would be the rejoinder of flowers to the Ode. The best poem. Thanks for sharing.

Truly, flowers accompany man from birth to death, in joy and sorrow. Flowers add meaning to earth and life. The poem is a flower in your garden of poems.

Though fleeting is your life on the Earth You accompany man from birth to death You are there in moments of dazzling glow Also when we sing the dirge of life’s parting woe ......So nicely and truely speculated and presented. Marvellous expression of a flower, a best ode I like most. Thanks for sharing. .....10

I am an avid flower grower. Collecting seeds and regenerating blooms every year. Few love flowers as I do, but your poem indicates a love on par with mine.
