An Incomplete Song Poem by D.N. Rebb

An Incomplete Song

Rating: 5.0

Who's gonna write the ending to this song?
Saw her through the blinds sitting all alone
A bistro with a subtle English style
Sipping a drink with such vogue all her own
Mesmerized by God's kind gift in her smile

Too afraid to approach and say hello
Unjust for this prolonged stare, so he left
A final quick glance through the front window
One starved heart beats strangely inside his chest
Who's gonna write the ending to this song?

Who's gonna write the ending to this song?
She bought two lattes hoping he'd sit down
Too shy to first make eye contact with him
Doesn't have many friends, she's new in town
Not kinda gal to go out on a limb

Sees him, lit by streetlamp, walking away
Perhaps there is a someone else, she tales
But it's only her morals she betrays
Looks at the moon and tiredly exhales
Who's gonna write the ending to this song?

Great poem about shyness and awkwardness and loneliness. Stay tuned to my writing the ending to your song.

It's the song that never ends…it goes on and on my friend!
