Love the pastoral nature of the piece, its very mid period romantic, in its imagery and themes, it seems that the scene is one of quite reflection for a period of life and a person that is gone. Still Susan Williams has a point the writer is more fascinated with the context of youth and the allure of fresh vitality, then again we have forever to be old and only a brief moment to be young,
