An expression of Misogyny
Letting wife to touch feet of husband
Prevailing in Hindu culture as an etiquette
Is regarded symbol of obedience, respect.
For her protector, most beloved dear.
When the entry of woman as a bride
Symbolised as entry of Godness Laxmi
A spirit of prosperity and power, Devi
How funny and controversial, it really sounds
When whole family enforce spirit of power
A Shakti to touch the feets all eleders
Along with her better half, husband.
I think it is an expression of Misogyny Attitude
Etiquette and custom practiced to advocate
Male dominating Patriarchal society
Where power and positions are preserved
For only male who provides his identity
To female not as a token of love
But as a grace for an inferior creature.
Children are known with father's name
One who retain ability to give birth to child
Treated as an object for recreation.
How weird you think, she is forced to share
His own husband with other females.
Oppression of female, prejudice against female
Sex discrimination and objectification are
No doubt products of male dominance culture.
Practice of polygamy does sound
Exploitation against female.
